Tahiti, where are you? So far continuous rain has somewhat inhibited discovery. A visit to Papeete to pay respects to the Port Captain was mainly an execise in puddle avoidance and sprinting between shelters. The traffic is bad too. Still the atmosphere (vibe) of the place makes me want to see and learn more. Just sitting on the boat is quite interesting with outriggers paddling by and mountains occasionly making an appearance through the rain. On our last night before landfall here we finally snagged a beautiful tuna and tonight we are having sushimi tuna after raiding the local supermatket for wasabi etc.
The crew, Daz and Berkeley, are leaving on Saturday for Los Angeles so the boat will be much quieter and the diet much less exotic. I expect to take at least a week here to get sails repaired, buy some bits and get a pc. I'd love to get an Apple but that is looking tricky here in Polynesia so a little notepad may be the answer. That will sort out soon I'm sure.
