Greetings from Raaitea. Sailed through the fringing reef at around 1 after a cruisey downwind sail from Huahine. It was only 25 miles so it didn't constitute a big sail but it was a bit of relief to me that the wind wasn't like the other night and giving me another workout. I was spared that but was blessed with the beautiful color of the water away from land and clouds. The perfect blue. Dolphin also gave us a guard of honor through the pass and that is never a bad thing.
We motored around the docks looking for a spot but couldn't find anywhere good so we tucked in behind a little island on the reef and it's sheltered! Something I've been missing for many days, a break from the incessant strong winds. They are good for sailing downwind but horrible in an exposed anchorage.
