Leaving Whitsundays

Farr Gone is flying downwind past the last of the Cumberland groups aka the Whitsunday islands. Jack is on a plane to Melbourne and I am once again solo wrestling with a highly unreliable auto pilot. In fact this is being typed with one foot on the wheel. It wasnt possible to get it fixed up here as it would have meant spoiling the holiday for the kids as parts take so long to get so I'm aiming for Bundaberg to get that fixed and the bottom re painted. After this trip the underside has the beginnings of a coral reef on it so the fact we are moving as fast as we are is quite surprising.
The weather is favorable but the breeze is strong so mistakes and round ups are unpleasant. I did manage to wrap the headsail around the forestay earlier and it took nearly an hour to get it out. Each time I went forward to unwrap it the boat would round up and by the time I got back to the cockpit it would be wrapped up again. Frustrating and just a little exhausting.
