Had a reasonable sleep last night following the long run yesterday. This morning, we went to the cafe at the Marina for a coffee around about 7:30
then I went to the chandler and got some bits and pieces, including some black silastic. Returned to the boat and placed sealant around the panel covering the traveller rope guides.
I gave the boat a good hose down and then brushed the boat with boat cleaner why Matthew hosed off behind me. We then had a quick lunch at the same nearby cafe on the Marina and departed at 13:40. We set a course to the southeast corner of the island and then up north along the east coast to Porto Carallo.
Noted the clutch rope on the self tacking jib traveller had failed. It has been there since the boat was built so it's done a good job. Another task I'll attempt why we are underway
We laid anchor at 19:30 after a motor sail into light winds. Ran the water maker on the way. In for a quick dip in very clear waters then a rinse with the stern shower. Quiet spot, we were the only yacht at anchor south of the marina, off a long uninhabited beach.
Dinghy to shore tying up in the marina. Made our way to the very tidy restaurant and had a good local meal and Sicilian beer.
Back to the boat for a relatively early night. I slept on the deck again in the cool of the light breeze.
