St Ives to Padstow
Juniper sailing round GB
Gordon and Catherine
Tue 28 Jun 2011 15:18
50:32.51N 04:56.28W We creep out at first light, pleased to be fully mobile again. The wind is brisk and we make excellent progress, close-hauled with double reefed sails, but Juniper seems to be on a mission. We see dolphins and porpoises, and Gordon has the privilege of seeing a dolphin jump completely out of the water in a full arc. We arrive early and have to wait for the tidal gate but eventually we’re rafted up in Padstow inner harbour, busy, bustly and gloriously sunny. |
