Sun.  Into Amsterdam for crew change. Barbara and Simon off by train for a couple of days in Bruges and, after eight weeks on-board, Danuta flies back to Exeter.  New crew, Chas McLennan-Wiggin, James Chew and Louise GG arrive in the afternoon, and we set straight off along the North Sea Canal to Ijmuiden.

 

Mon. Off at first light for the 150 mile trip across the North Sea. Sunny with light winds, even stopped for a swim half way across. Lots of ship traffic, oil & gas rigs and we spent the night passing new wind farm constructions in the Thames Estuary.  Into Ramsgate early on Tuesday morning and went ashore for a greasy spoon full mega English breakfast, then showers and bed.
