Thursday. Arrived in Norrtalje, Sweden at 1am after a cracking 48 mile passage from Mariehamn in the Aland Islands. Still light enough to moor up without any torches.
Rob arrived from New York at 09.45, in time for a big breakfast. Then off on the Bromptons to go shopping, hot and sunny. Ed arrived at 14.40 from London, then we headed out into the Stockholm archipeligo, around 25,000 islands and rocks, and found a lovely quiet bay to anchor for the night. Quite shallow and the water temp was 15 degrees, so the four youngsters were straight in for an "Aften Bad". BBQ on back deck followed by an enthusiastic evening of Perudo.
Friday. Sunny morning, so the skipper had no excuse to avoid the "Morgen Bad". Must rate as one of the shortest swims ever! The pressure is now on Danuta! Maybe tomorrow?
Full English to recover, then weaved our way 30 miles to Sandhamn, the "Cowes" of East Sweden and the archipeligo's summertime party hot spot according to the Lonely Planet guide book. Full on pre-regatta party in progress as we arrived, with a live band on stage only 25 metres from our berth. We were very lucky to get a place. Hangovers tomorrow morning???
