Really interesting day and night passage from Ramsgate to Ijmuiden and then through the North Sea canal to the centre of Amsterdam. 160 miles in total, taking 26 hours, an average speed of 6 knots.  The first part was dominated by skirting the many wind farms off the Thames estuary and the second part, during the night, by the sheer amount of shipping as we approached the Netherlands. At one point we were tracking over 30 ships on the IAS display on the Ipad.
