Whoohoo, Fran has arrived.  I spent at least an hour ineffectually trying to do my puzzle while watching out for her arrival and we have been having a good catch up since.
We have been able to relax today having had word from Pop that she has successfully changed her flight in to St Lucia.  It has meant a quick rework of the passage plan and, although it won’t be Barbados, hopefully we can give the girls a nice trip and hopefully some not too scary sailing if the weather holds up.
In preparation for Fran’s arrival we have had a busy day stocking up on beer, water and tonic, visiting the ATM, bought a few veg from the local market, made up the beds, cleaned the bathroom and then sat around doing absolutely nothing in the sunshine positioned with a full view of the dock to keep a beady eye out.
On our travels, we have asked around to see what is happening in the New Year’s Eve party department but so far have elicited responses such as: “I am not a party person and will be spending a quiet evening in my home” (grocery store man), “I am going to church” (taxi driver), Ulrich was seen heading out of the marina on a large catamaran with an ice box and a very pretty girl.  It looks like we will head for the sushi restaurant and take it as it comes although Fran is up for an early night it already being nearly midnight in the UK.  Wishing you all a very happy New Year and prosperous 2015.
