Everything is stowed, although it took a lot longer than we thought finding a home for everything, I managed to drop the eggs in their special boaty carton and contrary to popular belief about eggs being tough all but one smashed to smithereens and spread goo everywhere which of course took even longer to clear up.  The list of things that we have forgotten to bring and forgotten to do is growing but it is too late now and we will go shopping in Plymouth for a rucksack and portuguese dictionary (as I don’t think I can spell portuguese let alone speak it).
We are thrilled that at the eleventh hour we have a full crew, hooray!  We heard last night that Hayley joins us at Plymouth with Stuart.  All we know is that she is 18 but has a list as long as your arm of yachty qualifications and will be happy to do night watches.
We are also relieved to have worked our way through the Spanish manana syndrome and heard last night that we actually have a berth booked for when we get to Gran Canaria.  We are destined for Puerto Mogan which is at the opposite end of the island to Las Palmas where we planned to be but heck it isn’t really that big and it is the sunny end after all.
Keep you posted.
