Catherine’s really was the perfect setting for the gala dinner. Absolutely delicious food, I had the stuffed calamari, Bob had asparagus and deep fried poached egg, followed by the most subliminally divine seafood risotto and lamb shanks, all washed down with a fresh and bold bottle, or three, of Chablis.  We groaned with greedy delight.  Bob, Katie and I headed back to sleep off our over indulgence and Pop, Fran and Stu headed for cocktails plus free shots kindly purchased by Fran’s new friend from Louisiana who was into huntin’, shootin’ and fishin’.
This morning was subdued, not because of the Chablis but because three were headed off and there was a frenzy of packing.  We had a last, rather sombre, lunch at HotHotHot, ferried over the bags and sent Pop, Stu and Katie on their way.
We are planning a passage planning evening over a few cocktails in Fran’s chosen wedding and reception venue, I thought I ought to check it out, before heading out tomorrow, hopefully before the Oyster round the world rally sets off at 10am.
