We happily berthed in Dartmouth on Friday morning and, with blue skies and a stunning outlook from our cabin window of Dartmouth College, decided to hang out here for a couple of days rather than rush to Plymouth.
We pottered up the Dart as far as Dittisham and back again to see what we could see and strolled through the town alongside a new intake of impeccably attired and self conscious students from the college with their proud parents.
We have had exchange of drinks with next door, Alan and Margaret who have crossed the Atlantic, just the two of them outside the ARC, who furnished us with loads of useful hints and tips in pure Geordie. Very handy.
Tomorrow we move on.
