After leaving the beautiful scenery of The Saints we pottered south towards St Lucia. Very patchy wind has meant that we were motoring a lot of the way today so sailing was not very interesting.  For some reason Bob wanted to keep going past the idyllic, tranquil little bay that had been planned and we are now parked yards away from the run down, shanty town end of Roseau, the capital of Dominica, listening to the hysterical barking of fierce dogs and with the ladder up to save our souls.  We didn’t get here until nearly 3 and had such a late lunch that we couldn’t work out what to do about the rest of the afternoon.  We pottered into town (a long long dinghy ride to a bucking bronco of a pier) for a stroll which lasted all of 30 minutes because the others had run out of energy to potter any more, so ended up eating supper just after 6pm . Yeuch!  Not a good day in paradise so I shall go to bed and start on a clean page tomorrow!
