"Leixoes - 26th August"

We were the first boat to leave Viana do Castelo this morning, it was gloriously sunny and warm but not enough wind to sail by, there were plenty of lobster pots to avoid however.  We had a delightful sail later on in the afternoon and arrived in Leixoes a little after 4.30pm.  Tomorrow we plan to catch the metro into Porto for some sight seeing and a visit to one of the port warehouses for a guided tour and tasting, which should be a lot of fun. I knew that I should have brought a larger piece of Stilton on board, unfortunately the piece I brought with us is now only a far distant memory! It will be interesting to discover what the Portuguese like to eat with their port, if indeed anything? We shall find out tomorrow.
