"Monday - 20th August"

A thunderous explosion woke me! The fireworks had started! It was mid-night! The sky was a spectacle of bright lights exploding high in the sky.  They continued for 20 minutes, leaving a cloud of dense grey smoke mingling with the mist already  hanging over the port. I crept back to bed, the music played on but I was soon fast asleep once again.

Simon arrived this morning, straight from a music festival in the UK.  We left Portosin after lunch and had a wonderful sail down the Ria Muros until we ran out of wind and had to motor the rest of the way south to Isla Salvora, where we have anchored for the night. Once anchored Simon immediately took to the water for a swim, whilst us 'oldies' poured ourselves a GnT and kept an eye on him.  .It has been a glorious sunny day and it has been good to be at sea again.

There are only four yachts at anchor here and three of them are British and one of those is Mischief who was on the rally with us! Hopefully we shall make contact with them in the morning!
