The history of St Helena is incredible and you can
really get a tangible sense of it walking around Jamestown. Undoubtedly however
Napoleon was the most famous resident. He died here however in the bed in the
image. His death mask is shown too along with his tomb which initially was
guarded 24 hours a day. Later the French exhumed his body and returned it to
France - a hero whose tyranical ambition killed hundreds of thousands.
