Can't sleep. My nerves and patience are run more ragged than the sheets with the slatting of the sails and rigging. Its like a slow torture. There are very light winds from directly behind. I am still goosewinged with the pole holding (at least the clew of) the Genoa out to windward. Well the boat is goosewinged I am just goosed.

There is about 24 hours of light winds forecast then I pretty much have wall to wall 15 to 20 + knots of wind forecast. I can't wait. But of course I will have to....  I am currently pointing at Benin in West Africa doing four knots. Don't worry though it is still 1,700 miles away. Benin apparently is getting going with its own piracy activities and a lot of west Africa is bandit country so though I need to stay in the eastern half of the ocean I also need to give west Africa a wide berth.

Anyway just to let you all know that it is not all plain sailing .....

Thought for today which makes me laugh: What use is health? You can't buy money with it!

Keep your e-mails coming they are a tonic and even minus the Gin that works quite well!

I think Australia is the furthest away I have been receiving well wishing mails - can you beat that?
