Ok now we are getting close.....
It was like a completely different Ocean when we
left Port Stephens for our second attempt to Newcastle. Very calm seas and the
sun was shinning, a lot more inviting!. It was definitly the right decision to
turn back.
We had a fairly easy motor although a bit of
current against us. We saw loads of whales and it was great to get a good
view of Stockton beach (jeuvenille Great white feeding ground) and Sygma
wreck ( Australias largest ship wreck)
We arrived into Newcastle about 4pm,
a great welcome from the NCYC and a whole dock to
ourselves. Chloe, Olly and kids came to welcome us to Newcastle. It
was fantastic to see them all.
We managed a drink at the Albion (a pub that stocks
nearly every beer possible in Australia/ Germany / Belgian! ) some awesome fish
and chips and an early night!
Sydney is calling........
