Arrived Papeete, Tahiti

Fri 25 Jun 2010 13:00
We arrived after 36 hours of motoring...No wind at all but there was a full moon which made night watches a lot more pleasant.

We are still trying to get to grips with the hecticness of this place. It is French Polynesia's capital so we should have expected it to be like this. We are moored stern to right in the centre of town and by the main road that leads in and out of the city....

Great access to everything, and we have unlimited fresh water which is great but a total shock to the system after 3 months of quiet, remote anchorages.

Akio arrives tonight and we plan to see some of Tahiti tomorrow and then head to the next island Moorea ( About 4 hr sail away) for the next few days...
