Southern Hemisphere at last!

Morning Folks! Or whatever time of day it is with
you....
We just got back onboard after a quick dip at
00.00.000N ;-) So we are now in the Southern Hemisphere at last! It was a bit odd jumping in
with a few kilometers of deep blue sea beneath us but reassuringly good
visibility with not much around for a few hundred km's in any
direction....
 It's quite strange but being on the
Equator you would imagine it would be hotter than
Hades.... but last night I was almost hypothermic and had to put a jumper
on. First time since being in the Arctic Circle (Glasgow) I
think... Current ETA into Galapagos abt 9am local time on Wednesday after
abt 7 days at sea.
Has been a mostly pleasant trip but I am ready for
landfall as we are nearly out of eggs. Our friendly wind has decided to bugger
off too so we are motoring again but hopefully not for too long.
We had some lairy guests last night; 2 birds (help
here please (see pic) - Albatross, Petrel, Pigeon?). They made Bob seem
quiet as they vied for position on the foredeck making all sorts of weird
Cracken sounds throughout the night. We awoke this morning to the pleasant
gift of white-washed decks.....
 Not much going on in the water apart from the usual
flying fish. Sammy thinks she saw a pod of dolphins the other night but I think
the sun has been getting to her. Our fantastic new fishing gear has provided a
hefty 0.0 grams of fresh fish. After 7 days of constant trolling in
the "abundant" Pacific - that brochure needs re-writing. I blame El
Nino and the warm currents off South America that decimate local fish
populations. (It's true, I read it someplace).
Well that's about it for now. (I hope someone is
actually reading this.....)
