Quartermoon is finally looking like a sailboat again! She definitly put up a good fight as I think she was rather enjoying being a motor cruiser.

We now have the mast, all the rigging and boom in place and now we are left with just a few bits and pieces to finish off (electrics / vang).

We tried to get out for our first sail on Sunday but QM was having none of it. Unfortunately our headsail didn't fit the new furler so we had to settle for a nice motor cruise in the lagoon instead. There always seems to be something....
So yesterday I spent the whole day unpicking the sail luff and rethreading a new luff thread. Hopefully today we should have a headsail and maybe George will remember to turn up with his old mainsail.

It was a gorgeous day on the lagoon and makes you really appreciate this place. We picked up a mooring bouy of a gorgeous little sandy atoll and had the whole place to ourseleves. JY joined us for the day along with Vin an Ozzie who is stuck here waiting to deliver a boat to Western Australia.

Mike was trying to sort out all our electrics untill 11pm last night, re-running all the cables and testing all the wires so hopefully we will be another step closer to leaving.

Well...not much else to report. A few more photos of the progress....
