17th March - New date for canal

on, we have been confirmed for our transit tomorrow. Apparently there are
not enough advisors and every boat needs one to go through the locks. We
are not getting our hopes up but fingers crossed cause if we dont go
through tomorrow then Mum and Dad wont be here to help us and they will
have missed out on the canal.
A great guy from Australia called Simon who owns a beneteau 51 called
Wooloomooloo very kindly swapped our original date of the 18th for the
17th just so Mum and Dad can make it. How nice is that?? I think we owe
him a few cases of beer. He is a star.
It's very hot and not much wind which is making it really hard to work on
the boat and get it ready. We will probably have tyo hang out on the other
side for a bit as it looks like there is no wind for the 8-10 day sail to
the Galapagos. We still need to get an awning made and pick up some solar
panels. Provisioning is nearly complete just fresh stuff to go. We have
provisioned for approximately 6 months. It was a fun day and we completely
filled a hire car with food and drinks. It's very hard to have any idea as
to how much food// drinks you will consume in 6 months. As soon as we
leave Panama there are limited supplies until we reach Australia.
You can watch us go through the first lock at

We should be heading through at approximately 5pm Panama time. Really
excited about finally leaving this side and getting into the Pacific.
