Final days in New Caledonia

Our final couple of weeks on New Caledonia came
about very quickly.
We had loads to do including the fitting of our new
Bimini, re-glazing all the hatches (we can actually see out of them now),
finishing the interior, cleaning 140m of cyclone line not to mention 20 plus hrs
of sailing we needed to get in before we were allowed to leave.
Jez joined us which was a god send and really
helped with the final preperations before we left Noumea. We had a fantastic
long weekend at first motoring with Quartermoon south to Amadee Lighthouse
(New Cals tallest lighthouse) then up to Ilot Largenre. The wind filled in over
night and after a very uncomfortable night on a mooring we were up and ready to
leave by first light. It ended up being a fantastic day sailing and we sailed
Quartermoon really hard to test out the rig.
