Another good morning to you all. Yup you guessed it - still no wind...... another day and a night motoring. Not even a chance of getting the sails out in the last 24hrs, the wind was 1knt or so most of the day. I have never seen the sea so calm, flat and glassy. We are really hoping for some wind today. We have just over 2 days worth of fuel left and probably at least 5 days to go till we get to the Galapagos. Fingers crossed for some wind everyone!

We have been keeping ourselves busy on the boat to pass the time. Nick has been very proactive this morning and has been scrubbing the decks, I am working my way through my pile of sewing - completed 3 winch covers now and working on some covers for our jerry cans (which live out on deck). Exciting.....! haha

Lunch time yesterday was a highlight as we spotted a large log floating in the sea and gently motored over to inspect it. It was full of fish unde rneath so we tied to it, cut the engine and went mid ocean flotsam snorkeling! Amazing to see these totally separate ecosystems just floating in the middle of the ocean. It was full of gooseneck barnacles and crabs, there was also a large trigger fish, a small black trigger, many blennies, tripple fins and almaco jacks (juveniles of the same fish we were working with in Hawaii). It was great to see and they were all so friendly and came very close to us.

Other than the floating log we haven't seen that much - we spotted the island that we wanted to get south of as our way point yesterday, that has now disappeared over the horizon.
