Hello everyone!

Hope you are all well and you have all had a good New Years day - 2017 here we are! We wish everyone the very best for this year. We think it will be a good one for adventures :)

So we had an easier night last night, we slowed right down to about 3knts to time our arrival into the San Blas. The wind was kinder to us even if the seas were still pretty steep and large. We both decided that we didn’t enjoy this last passage that much -  the seas making it quite uncomfortable. We got to the pass into the reef about 9am and made our way to the anchorage we had decided on. We knew a few of our friends were in the San Blas already but as there are over 360 islands each with a number of anchoring possibilities we didn't think our chances of seeing anyone would be very high.............. As we came into a nice little tucked away anchorage - who did we spot - ALL THE KIWI boats we know ( 3 of them) and Derek and Alison from Arielle! So the whole gang is here and we have had a lovely day catching up on stories from the crossings and news of fishing and lobsters.

We have found ourselves in a beautiful place with white sandy beaches and clear turquoise water. There is nice snorkelling right off the back of the boat and the islands are lined with Palm trees. We are very happy :)

So we are in relax mode- kind of -a few more jobs have been added since the passage - no longer do we have a dry boat..... oh the joys of boat owning!! So Nick currently has his head in the bildge again and I will get on with some cooking. BUT we really are 'working on the boat in exotic places' the definition of the cruising life :)
