We made it!!!! 

We decided in the gloom of the rain clouds yesterday that rather than try and sail upwind in the rough conditions we would just put the motor on and push through it. It made for a rough night and we rolled and jerked around a lot. But it meant by dawn we could see land and we made it into the anchorage of Santa Cruz about 2.30pm local time. 

We are parked up in amoungst some boats we know and we have already been invited over for dinner! The agent + officals should be on their way soon - fingers crossed we pass all the stringent tests.....
