Cartegena
Have finally sorted out the software side of the sat phone problems. It has taken over a week to untangle the various conflicting settings that were conspiring to block the system. (I can now happily set up a business advising on Iridium satellite phones for yachtsmen!)
We spent the day in port yesterday, partly to sort a few things out and mainly because the port police told us there was a gale warning in force for the afternoon. Our forecast did not indicate such strong winds locally (which was correct) but it still blew up to 25-30 kts for a few hours and we were snugly (and smugly) settled in a good restaurant.
Ate on board last night and had a good night's sleep. Aiming to leave at midday today and head for
Aguadulce. Will try to get some pictures onto the blog later today.
