The advanced party have been doing many things (but not partying….too much!) to get Kingfisher moved on from summer holiday mode (when there really were some parties) to get ready for the ocean. Peter, Ben and Alex came out on Saturday evening and worked on the boat most of Sunday. The boys taxied over to Fornells to meet up with Tash for a swim late afternoon and then we started the cooking marathon to fill up the freezer. None more surprised than the skipper to end up with a rather good looking meal for 5 tucked into the corner of the daunting empty space.
Today, we are hauling out for a few hours to check and clean the hull and looking forward to the arrival of Bob House and John Foster who will make up the rest of the crew for the first leg.
