New season is here. The boat is still here, in Eastbourne, where we left it. The plan is to cross the channel, sail around Bretagne, then down the Atlantic coast to Bilbao, across northern Spain and down south Portugal.

 

The gelcoat is repaired, the teak was scraped pretty by overzealous cleaners and everything works, contrary to what we've grown accustomed to. No season start would be complete without having to climb up the mast, in order to change a simple light bulb...

 

 

Everyone is super excited to be on the way. The next destination is Guernsey, a 24h sail in south-west direction. We're leaving in the morning and should arrive in Guernsey on Tuesday morning's high tide.
