Everything went better than expected: The wind stayed below 10kts, the waves didn't come straight from the front and the weather held, so after about 17 miles and 2 hours we arrived at Kinsale.

Kinsale is a small village (locally) famous for a number of good restaurants and the local arts scene. After an afternoon of sightseeing and windowshopping, we ate at Max's, a fish restaurant. The menu is kept small, allowing for high quality of food and service. Being a bit of a fish denier, I started with foie gras, followed by lamb. Hannah and Peter ordered fish fillets. Truly delicious, and the portions are kept at yuppie level, so there was place for the obligatory ice cream popsicle.

In the evening, I attempted to transfer tracks from the Raymarine chart plotter, so as to display them on Google Maps, but thus far no success. The plotter uses a proprietory binary format, which cannot be easily converted. So in addition to the plotter, we'll be recording our journey using SportsTracker.

Tomorrow, we're heading further SW to Baltimore. Weather is improving, expected wind is around 10kts and 3.5m waves from SW.
