Loch Ness

The final day, or rather half, since the boat still needed cleaning, was spent driving around the Loch Ness. Unlike what I thought, the lake is actually right next to Inverness, so how the Nessie-Myth hasn't been disproven is beyond me.

We ate a delicious lunch at the Dores Inn. Finally tried the traditional (?) Haggies, Neeps and Tatties. It tasted ok, but it was not going to be my favorite, much less so now that I know it contains a sheep's heart, liver and lungs, encased in the animal's stomach.

The drive around the Loch is quite scenic, but after two days of driving -- nothing special. Unfortunately we were in the area only in the late afternoon, so all the Nessie-Museums were closed. An even bigger shame however was that the ruin of Urquhart castle also closes at 6pm, which esentially leads to no access. Next time then.

Real life begins tomorrow when I'm heading home. I'm afraid others will not spend as much time writing as I, so the next update may only come in the middle of August. Cheers.
