I was delighted to see my co-owner, Simon, join me at last in Bridlington. But it was touch and go as to whether we could get out before the mud entrapped Gemini on a falling tide. We escaped and just before dark, in calm seas, decided to anchor off Hornsea just off the Groins, short of a firing area. We had a calm few hours asleep before weighing anchor and setting off in the dark for Wells-next-the-Sea. Grimsby and the large shipping contingent passing up and down the Humber were to be avoided.
