Setting off this morning from Lymington after a late start from the Itchen River yesterday evening, we feared a rainy and foggy morning. However Malcolm Findlay and I were pleased with the northerly wind and a strong current down the Solent.

We arrived at Weymouth just before lunch and spent the afternoon sorting out the yacht as our departure from the Itchen was hectic owing to work promised but not completed as planned.
All is well although rains forecast for the next few days does not sound good.
