Saturday 27^th October.

So here we go, out into the blue yonder! Myself and Susanne, Martin and Louise from Briton Ferry and Ross from Tenby. We did a last minute top up for food perishables, water etc, scanned the latest weather forecast and decided to slip our berth at Neyland Marina at 10.20am yesterday (Saturday 27^th October).

We sailed down the Cleddau River and into the open sea on a fresh North Easterly breeze, the forecast predicted 25knots of wind from astern to give us a good push south. Also in that forecast was the presence of a low pressure system moving south east into the north sea that will temporarily see us being headed by strong south westerlies very soon so we laid a course further to westward in anticipation of that.

Position now,  50 miles West off Bishops Rock light (Isles of Scilly). Sunday 28^th, 08.00hrs GMT
