We anchored in the Mourilyan Harbour, another sugar loading small harbour. The original entrance was only just over a metre deep so the rock ledge was blasted to allow larger ships through. The harbour itself has a small turning circle for the ships and then the river is shallow with sandbanks.

Outside the buoyed turning circle there were several anchored vessels and while Phil was preparing the anchor I omitted to check the 'road map' and we were aground! No panic, rising tide, and having realised our error we headed towards an anchored fishing vessel up river, where we had a peaceful night!
