Problems with the generator...

One of the reasons that we delayed our departure from Fiji was that there was a leak from the generator water pump so I had to order a new one and get it delivered to Fiji from Germany. When it arrived I arranged for a mechanic to fit it for me and all seemed well. Sadly the generator failed last night when was trying to charge the batteries.
I will have look at it to see if it is a fault that I can repair in the morning when it is light, but in the meantime it gives us a good excuse and we are motoring to charge the batteries and also coincidentally we are finally making a good speed towards our destination.
We have enough fuel for about 4 days so i am going to continue motoring rather than sailing - we are much slower than I had expected when sailing in these light winds and we all want to get there now….
