We made it!! Port Elizabeth, Bequia

We arrived in Port Elizabeth at 07:10 local time (GMT
-4) and were greeted by a boat boy offering us a mooring and another boat boy
selling us croissants, bread and batons for 20 euro. He probably saw us
coming but we are here and happy to enjoy breakfast on deck, moored to a buoy in
a beautiful Caribbean bay.
Bequia looked beautiful as we sailed down the coast,
lush green steep hills, and pretty pastel houses in Port Elizabeth
Bay.
There has definitely been many, many,
many occasions when we thought we would not get this far, but by sheer
perseverance on the crews behalf we overcame all the obstacles Nijinsky threw at
us and we have made it to the Caribbean.
Next job is to pump up the dingy, fit the heavy
outboard, collect up all the trash and recycling, strip the beds, bag the
laundry and head ashore. Once ashore we need to buy local SIM cards, make
phone calls home, visit the customs office and get stamped
in; then I for one will be looking for a bar!
