Dear Family and Friends,
18th April 2015
All going well here, very pleasant temperatures with the sea breezes. I am
actually comfortable temperature wise, most of the time, cooking excluded.
Plenty of sea, flying fish and occasional sea birds, no dramas, (fingers
crossed), no fish! Franglais improving leaps and bounds, usually brushing up on
my early hours watch.
We sailed another 150NM yesterday with 1340NM to go to Atuona on Hiva Oa.
The winds are forecast to lighten as we near the Marquesas, at present its
looking like 8-9 days to landfall but as always this is very provisional.
Thank you for your help, Gavin, Georgie and Peter, looking up some missing
blogs, I have resent them now so hopefully they are there along with our plots
on the map. We spoke to Gavin and Georgie on the SSB radio last night, they are
over 3,000 miles away, wow. Good to talk guys even if the reception was patchy.
We manage to speak to our other half so to speak, Anne and Jonathan on Sofia Rys
most nights who are about 1 week behind us heading in the same direction. Always
good to touch base in such a big expanse of ocean!
All our best,
Lynne and Alan
