Dear Family and friends,

Well we made it to Antigua and we are now anchored in English Harbour next to the restored Nelson’s dockyard. The last 30 hours were as traumatic as the crossing though as the generator stopped working. Now having had this equipment completely rebuilt  before leaving we kind of did not expect problems with it... however its water impellor had disintergrated, Alan fitted a new one but this morning the problem had returned. So we entered English harbour with depleted batteries, no generator, limited engine capacity due to contaminated fuel, and a need to hook upto a land based power supply. It wasn’t easy but we have some solution thanks to power sharing with another yacht.

 

We will be coming back to the problems but for now we need to sleep and enjoy the party here tomorrow. It cant all be bad!
