Dear Family and Friends, A few final photos of Dominica as we sailed away. Taken from our dingy, this is Portsmouth Dominica. Viewed from a distance it looks a little more picturesque than up close! West coast of Dominica as we motor sailed south. Dominica has 8 active volcanoes, the terrain is typical with steeply incised valleys. A mist hangs over the mountains and can be seen rising from the sea, a permanent veil of humidity. Southern tip of Dominica. Reminded me of how Europeans settlers must have arrived. You have no idea how difficult it is to take a shot with a horizontal sea when the boat is pitching about, this is my best effort don’t judge it too harshly! All our best, Lynne and Alan |
