Stop at Palmlea farms - Fiji
Rogue
Alan and Noi not sure which is which

Joe and Julie Smelser were round the world sailors.
Both are registered Captains and have spent decades wondering about the world.
Joe is American and Julie from Oz. They decided to sell the boat and set up life
in Fiji. They are running a farm with imported Boer goats, supposedly the
largest meat goat. They certainly are big. Anyway they have also set up a
restaurant and a couple of eco friendly bungalows, which is where we parked for
a couple of nights. It was only supposed to be one night but liked it so much we
hung about for another day to have a better look at Palmlea and scout out some
land for sale. 68 acres on rolling hills with the fantastic views and sea access
to what I am told is the 3rd largest barrier reef in the world, for about £27k.
I just have to find a way of commuting between UK, Thailand and Fiji.
The farm restaurant is spectacular for scenery, food and atmosphere. A great stay. Welcoming committee
Noi doing her thing with the kitchen staff and
owners. Joe still oversees the cooking.
This is the same view as the you get from
the land that is for sale, the land is next door infact. I need partners,
any takers Dave?
One of the large meat goats destined for the pot I
guess. A bit sad to you and me perhaps but Noi wanted to try one
now!!
Pace of life is perfectly portrayed by Cat. Not
purring or scratching, completely zonked out!
