08:20 the pilot / advisor arrives for our 07:30
appointment on the lake, it's Panama
The
adviser is the guy with the hat and he pretty much stayed in that spot for the
rest of the day
  Going throigh the Banana cut, a 20 mile transit
through the lake between the upward locks and the downward locks
  One or two bird watchers in the crew
  Passing on the wrong side as per advisers
instructions! it's Panama
Passing on the correct side, the canal processes 40 lock
transits per day which equates to about 80 ships
  John at the helm
Near
the first downward lock, a lot of work being doen to widen the canal to add a
3rd lane
  May take a while with one lttle
digger.
