A so we continue after the pit stop:
Next lift is to a guy walking to the clinic. 10
miles away. We commiserate with him about the lack of bus service and he says he
is quite happy because when he has seen the Doctor it will be low tide and it is
only half the distance if he walks back along the shore.

  We picked up two ladies coming back from the clinic
and dropped them at their village, again at least 10 miles down the road. We did
manage to get lost at one stage and stopped to ask directions from a guy wearing
a balaclava and carrying a machete about 4 feet long. I was a bit wary of him
but the first thing out of his mouth was come in for a cup of tee!!
