After the lobster episode in Vaitahu we up
anchored and went back to Hanamoenoa to meet Qwyver and Nae Hassle. We spent two
or three days there and then went back down to Hapatoni with Qwyver to look at
some wood carvings. Before leaving I had cleaned the hull once again. I had a
tiny cut on my finger when I started cleaning and by the end it was aching a bit
so I put some muti on it. I woke up during the night thinking my finger was
going to explode. Went snorkelling the next day and then a walk in the village.
By then the finger was throbbing and I felt like I was coming down with a
fever. We were due to leave for the tomatos the next day and landed up
postponing it. We stayed for 3 nights while I recouperated and then we had
missed the weather window so decided to go north with Qwyver to visit Ua Pou
until the weather came right.
