Hi folks
We are now in Bequia, probably our favourite of all
the islands. We had a good sail here up from Grenada, stopping at Carriacou, and
Petit St Vincent. The winds have been quite strong 5-6 ENE whhch has meant a
good beat to windward all the way here. Perfect temperature of around 26
degrees compared to last year's scorcher, and we have had quite a lot of rain at
night. The islands are also so green compared to last year and water is in
abundance thanks to excess rain over the summer.
We leave tomorrow up to the north end of St
Lucia, Rodney Bay for a couple of days - another 60 mile beat to windward (but
the last difficult passage). From there we route up through Martinique,
Dominica, and then to Guadeloupe to meet Kim (Lindy's brother) on the 2nd Feb.
Starting to fall into Carribean mode where sunny
days rum punches and snorkelling seem to be the order of the day.
Today we are hiring a scooter to go around the
island and swim with the turtles on the windward side of the
island.
