Finally we have some wind and we are cruising at
about 5 knots on a broad reach. We have about 250 miles to go to our
waypont where we hope to head direct for St ucia in the trades. They are
expected to be light until next week when they should pick up. Our best
estimate is 14 - 16 days to the finish.
Yesterday James spotted a whale. It was black
with a white underside and some large white spots. It swam under the boat
several times, no doubt to make sure that all was well with our
hull. Can any of the class guess what sort of whale it was?
Do let us know where you think we are in the
fleet.
No time for fishing today we have been busy
changing sails, doing a food inventory, transferring fuel and now relaxing with
a beer. Having finally got the watermaker workig well we re all going to
have showers. we need to!
