BIG Excitement today...  trolling along at between 4 and 5 knots in sunshine James decided to try his new fishing gear.  About an hour later it was ACTION STATIONS.....all hands to the stern as James grabbed the rod and started to work the reel.  It was clearly quite a big fish and it took about half an hour to land, better than a workout at the gym!  We could see the beautiful yellow colour in the water.  Nick was ready with the gin to knock the fish out when landed.  We weighed it at just under 10lbs and have the photographic evidence to prove it.  James filleted it and Nick will conjure up a delicacy tonight.  We thought it rude for the catch to drink alone so we  joined him with a Gin and tonic. We think the fish was possibly a dorado but someone may know when we put the photo on separately from this blog.

We continue on our course to a position to the north west of the Verde Islands and hope to reach tht position sometime on sunday.  Our log is showing 682 miles uder our belt so far.  The wind is variable and right now we are motor sailing.
