WORK AND PLAY

The last couple of days have shown that the capacity for work is still there. On Sunday we took our last long trip and whilst Tom did the driving, I prepared the heads and bilges for a final "spring clean".  We ended up at a bay called Tortue Bay - for those who don't know, Tortue is the French for Tortoise.  There was quite a race in the Bay and when Robert jumped in, he was struggling to get back to the boat.  Tom had similar success, so the girls decided to take cold showers instead! We called it a day early and was glad we did when a vicious squall ripped through the bay.....no onshore supper for us that evening as the swell stayed around for most of the night!

Yesterday it was back to the grind - though the watermaker mechanic failed to show, the days was full of washing, greasing, cleaning and taking most of the sails down.  We spent overnight on the fuel dock - just as in the UK - everyone had started buying early for the Bank holiday here tomorrow.....
