RAINY DAYS AND SUNDAYS

We know that some of you will have spent your Sunday shivering in the cold - and for that we are truly sorry.   But given we can't do anything about your misfortune (no, you can't all come out and bask on our foredeck), we thought we'd show you how we spent yesterday.   Some of you might have thought that tom would want to try and find a bar with a Rugby match on - and it did cross his mind.  Life here however is more geared to sailing and we think in an effort to make Carnival time for all, the supporters of the boats we saw racing yesterday seemed to have their Carnival on the beach.

There was Corporate hospitality (but not as we know it) and big trophies for the winners.  There were corporate sponsors to be nursemaided and lots of rum punches to be thrown.  There was also a support boat sporting a Breton flag!  Almost an international event!

The sailing looked strenuous and well organised, the boats and technical expertise of those sailors was - well a bit primitive.  We don't think the boys do it often!   Anyway more pix of those intrepid men and their craft.  Yes, they do hand out through wooden slats and use bailers to propel themselves along when the wind's in the wrong direction!
