Know you have all been waiting for it, but it rained all day today!   Well, off and on.  We took a ferry to Fort de France and hit their Bank Holiday - Mardi Gras seems to consist of lots of celebrations and the write-ups we have seen for FdeF promised a lot more than was really on view. 

Our sailing reference guide is also severely out of date (well, two years) and as we trudged the two miles to the customs at the docks, we discovered that we could not check out there any more, but could do back at Trois Islets (possibly once the Mardi Gras celebrations are over), meanwhile battening down the hatches for another squall!
